Welcome to Neoseeker's walkthrough for the action adventure title Assassin's Creed: Rogue. This guide will help you playthrough the game from start to finish, completing all of the missions whilst fulfilling all of those pesky mission parameters and optional objectives required for 100% synchronisation. The modern story, meanwhile, introduces Layla Hassan, who serves as the present-day protagonist for Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla. Assassin's Creed Mirage is coming out later this year, but Ubisoft has a whole slate of Assassin's Creed projects in the works. Of course there's the previously mentioned Mirage, which will take place in Baghdad, but there's also an Assassin's Creed show that'll debut on Netflix soon and an upcoming VR title. Here are some of the Assassin's Creed projects you can look forward to:

By and large, all versions offer the same visual feature set, but there are some exceptions. In addition to 4K rendering, dynamic shadows get a stark enhancement on Xbox One X, giving sharper, higher resolution results beyond what we had on the original PC version. PS4 Pro runs at equivalent to the standard PS4 game, while the base Xbox One gets a reduction in quality here. The second upgrade is the use of a sharper reflection map on PS4 Pro and Xbox One X. Again, it's nothing radical, but that mirror image comes across as a touch more detailed on the enhanced systems. a b Carsillo, Ray (November 19, 2014). "EGM Review: Assassin's Creed Rogue". Over the following three years, Shay kills the Assassins Kesegowaase (Danny Blanco-Hall), Adéwalé, Hope Jensen ( Patricia Summersett), and Louis-Joseph Gaultier de La Vérendrye (Marcel Jeannin), leaving only two prominent members of the Colonial Brotherhood: Achilles and his second-in-command, Liam O'Brien (Julian Casey), once Shay's best friend. Shay and the Templar Grand Master Haytham Kenway (Adrian Hough) pursue the Assassins to the Arctic, where another Precursor temple has been located. After eliminating the Assassin expedition, Shay and Haytham enter the temple to find Liam and Achilles, who have realized that the artifacts are a means to stabilize the world, not a weapon to control it. During the confrontation, the artifact is accidentally destroyed, triggering another earthquake. As the four escape, Shay and Liam duel and the latter is fatally injured, while Haytham overpowers Achilles. Shay persuades Haytham to spare Achilles, to ensure knowledge of the Temples is not lost, so the Assassins will not pursue them again. Haytham agrees, but cripples Achilles. Note that whilst collectibles will appear during missions, I will not be including them in the walkthrough unless for location descriptions. There is acomplete collectible locations guide below the main walkthrough. The conclusion of the Ezio trilogy unites the narrative of the Italian assassin with his predecessor, Altair. An older Ezio travels to Constantinople in search of Altair’s hidden library, which was thought to contain invaluable wisdom. In Constantinople, Ezio searches for the keys needed to open the library — each of which possesses a key memory in Altair’s life. Assassin's Creed Revelations ultimately reveals Ezio's role in the wider AC narrative.

The game features an enhanced version of Eagle Vision which enables Shay to indentify assassin's that may be concealed in the shadows that he wouldn't otherwise be able to see, similar mechanically as the one used in previous Assassin's Creed franchise multiplayer. Set nearly 400 years earlier than any other mainline game, Assassin's Creed Odyssey expanded on the RPG elements introduced in Origins to complete its genre-turn from stealth-based action to open-world RPG. Following a 1754-set sequence during which you play as Haythem Kenway, Assassin's Creed 3 begins in earnest with Haythem's son Ratonhnhaké:ton, a.k.a Connor. Set largely during the American Revolution, Connor seeks to protect his tribe from the war and the First Civilization's Grand Temple from the Templars. The first Assassin's Creed takes place 300 years after Valhalla and introduces us to the series' original protagonist, Altair Ibn'La-Ahad. Assassin's Creed laid the groundwork for the franchise's next 15 years of success, introducing foundational gameplay elements like climbing and assassinations while also laying the groundwork for the time-hopping Assassin-Templar narrative. Critical commentary often focused on the nuanced characterization of Shay's humanity. Andy Kelly from PC Gamer praised Shay as a "tough and ruthless" character who refuses to prey on the weak and occasionally shows mercy, and that more "nuanced and flawed" lead characters like him should appear in the Assassin's Creed series. [39] Mitch Dyer from IGN commented that while Rogue is the darkest, most brutal game in the entire series, its main character is not the villainous sociopath he had expected, but rather has goals, regrets, fears, and a grounded personality that makes him a fascinating character. [18] Dyer observed that Shay is more relatable compared to previous series protagonists, and that his fall from grace happens slower than he had anticipated, which contributes to making his change of allegiance more convincing. He concludes that it is discomforting that the assassin he finds the most interesting is the one who hunts down and slays his former comrades, though the narrative's grim tone is balanced by what he considered to be one of the most preposterous, hilarious events in the entire series: Benjamin Franklin giving Shay a grenade launcher. [18] Stephen Totilo from Kotaku considered him to be one of the most interesting protagonists in the series whose character arc is satisfyingly told through playable missions. [40] Softpedia's review of Rogue praised Shay is probably one of the most complex characters in the series who has an actual personality and deep moral dilemmas, and claimed that one could not find fault with his actions even though the series have predominantly depicted the Assassin and Templar conflict from the perspective of the former. [41] [40] Writing for the New York Times, Totilo commented that while Shay "theoretically turns full-on bad guy" when he joins the Templars, who are the overarching antagonists in the majority of the Assassin's Creed media franchise, he noted that Rogue still allow players to feel like the "good guy". To Totilo, the creators of Rogue have provided a clear signal to players on the issue of morality, and noted that the opportunity to play as a bona fide "bad guy" in a video game is a rare perspective, much less asking players to consider that they're wrong or to feel good about what they're doing while identifying with an unsavory group. [48] Shay's status as one of the few Templar characters who is portrayed sympathetically in the series is discussed by Lars de Wildt in the 2019 book Playing Utopia: Futures in Digital Games [49] Shay's tampering of a Precursor artifact as directed by the Assassin leadership, which inadvertently triggers The Great Lisbon Earthquake event in Rogue's narrative, is cited as an example of the exploration of the theme of theodicy in popular media by author Frank G. Bosman. [50] Sales [ edit ]The past story sees Altair hunting down nine Templars during the Third Crusade, while the present-day story introduces Desmond Miles and the modern Assassin-Templar conflict that runs through AC III. a b c d e McWhertor, Michael (August 5, 2014).
